Valborg 25 Alumni Reunion Weekend: April 11-14, 2019
This spring, the department will host the first-ever alumni reunion weekend to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Valborg Theatre, and you're invited! Scheduled April 11-14, 2019, the weekend includes an opportunity to meet and share your expertise with our current students, an alumni dinner and open mic night, an optional picnic at Valle Crucis Park and a gala and departmental performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," the very first show to be performed in Valborg in 1994.
Weekend Package Pricing
We are asking for a nominal registration fee from each alum and guest to cover the costs of the weekend. Your payment includes our Friday "Welcome Back" dinner catered by Woodland's Barbeque, our Saturday "Valborg 25" gala reception, your ticket to “A Midsummer Night's Dream” and other incidental costs to the department.
There is no revenue generated by the department from the reunion; we have reduced the cost for our alumni as much as possible while still planning for your special weekend. And while we do have a few things planned for you, you will still have lots of time to meet old friends and stop by your local haunts here in Boone. Thanks to all for your understanding and support.
- Alumni and guests: $65
- Young alumni and guests (those who have graduated between 2013 and 2018): $35
One registration fee covers all of the events listed above; we regret that we are unable to itemize each event separately.
Click "Book Your Stay" to learn more about the blocks of rooms that we have reserved for you at a discount. Please book by April 1, when the rooms must be released. If you have questions, email us at
