What follows are some miscellaneous items, special thanks, final thoughts and personal reflections to wrap things up for this 2016 Tony Awards blog. Believe it or not, there are a couple of other Boone connections to this Broadway season that need to be mentioned, including yet another App State graduate whose work was recognized with a Tony nomination.  Annie Wiegand, who received her BA. in theatre in 2004 with a concentration in design and technical theatre, is a lighting designer who...

It’s the big day…we are now on site, bouncing back and forth between the red carpet and the media room in what can only be described as organized chaos. Folks are arriving late, as most of the nominees had 2 or 3 p.m. matinee performances earlier today, but our own David Furr has taken time out of his busy schedule to answers questions that have come our way via phone, text, email and posts.  For those of you who want more, More, MORE David Furr, here are links to interviews that he has...

We’ve received more comments from the “Tony Fun Facts” post from a few days ago than any else so far, along with a request for more photographs.  So, the updated media kits distributed last Saturday afternoon contain yet more trivia and pictures for your reading pleasure, courtesy of the Tony Awards.
