Currently, she teaches Page and Stage, and The Theatre Experience for the Department of Theatre and Dance.

Shannan's main area of focus lies in theatre where she has worked as a technician, stage manager, and designer in community, educational, and professional theatre.  Her theatrical abilities range from scenic painting, set, and properties design to administrative positions such as box office management, poster design, and publicity. Currently living in Virginia, Shannan makes a one-hour commute to AppState to see and enjoy her students because she would rather be in a classroom than an office.
