Madeleine (Maddie) Minton is a dynamic professional with a strong background in marketing, customer service, and leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies with a Minor in Mandarin Chinese from Appalachian State University, where she honed her communication and analytical skills. Madeleine’s passion for cross-cultural engagement and community-driven initiatives has shaped her diverse career path.
Madeleine has gained extensive experience across marketing, administration, and public outreach. Her most recent role was as the Athletics Administrative and Business Office Assistant for Appalachian State Athletics. In previous positions, she has demonstrated expertise in content creation, financial literacy, and organizational management.
In addition to her marketing background, Madeleine has excelled in leadership and advocacy. As a Canvass Captain at DownHome NC (Watauga Chapter), she led community engagement initiatives, trained teams, and optimized strategic outreach efforts. Her ability to foster relationships and drive impact is where she found her passion for management, and she has carried many of those skills to the Department of Theatre & Dance.
Madeleine’s technical proficiency, international experience, and commitment to effective communication set her apart as a professional dedicated to innovation and collaboration. Whether leading marketing campaigns, coordinating events, or managing outreach efforts, she brings a strategic mindset and a results-driven approach to every project she undertakes.
In her free time, Madeleine enjoys a variety of nerdy pursuits and rotates between reading the latest comics (Fun Fact: Jonathan Hickman's Fantastic Four is her favorite run), playing video games, or rolling dice in one of the many Dungeons & Dragons campaigns she partakes in. She also enjoys cooking and baking new Gluten-Free recipes and is always happy to swap tips and tricks in the kitchen. You can often find her exploring new restaurants and breweries in the Boone area with her partner, Sean.
