Greer Studio Theatre
I.G. Greer Studio Theatre is an 80 seat black box space on the ground level of the I.G. Greer Building. I.G. Greer Auditorium, which seats 300, is managed by the College of Arts and Sciences.

University-affiliated (internal) departments and programs:
View the I.G. Greer studio calendar before submitting your reservation request to ensure the studio is available.
Please submit an I.G. Greer Studio Reservation Request Form.
Whenever possible, reservations should be requested at least two weeks prior to the date(s) being requested and are contingent upon approval by the department chair and the department technical director.
T&D academic courses and T&D sponsored events always take priority.
Only academic course-related reservations will be honored the last week of classes and during finals week.

- Whenever possible, reservations should be requested at least two weeks prior to the date(s) being requested and are contingent upon approval by the department chair, Kevin Warner, and the department technical director, Matt Tyson.
- T&D academic courses and T&D sponsored events always take priority.
- Only academic course-related reservations will be honored the last week of classes and during finals week
- Once a reservation has been approved, the organization and the Department of Theatre and Dance (representing the university) will enter into a contract agreement which outlines the use of the space, fees associated with the use of the space, and the documentation of liability insurance. See "Usage Fees" below.
- Please note that a reservation is not confirmed until the contract is generated and fully executed, though the studio theatre will be held for the organization as a courtesy for up to two weeks during the contract routing process.

Policies for Use
The primary use of the studio theatre is for academic and co-curricular instruction by the Department of Theatre and Dance.
Other requests for use of I.G. Greer will be reviewed by Kevin Warner, Department Chair, or Matt Tyson Department Technical Director.
Please allow up to two weeks from the time of your request, though we will make every attempt to reply within three business days.
Usage Fees
University-affiliated (internal) departments, programs, and student organizations:
No rental fees.
There may be a key-holder fee of $15/hour for a three-hour minimum.
Due to costly equipment housed in the space, we ask all groups to pay an hourly rate for a key-holder to be with you while you use the space for performances and technical rehearsals. This fee is "at cost" for the department to pay the keyholder.
Keyholders are experienced students who have been trained on facility equipment and usage guidelines by our technical director. They are also familiar with emergency protocols.
The keyholder unlocks the facility, provides general lighting using the existing light plot, can provide general lighting for a performance and secures the space at the conclusion of the event.
Organizations and programs not associated with the university (external):
Rental fees for I. G. Greer Studio Theatre begin at $25/hour.
There is a key-holder fee of $15/hour; three-hour minimum.
